PRESENTATIONS.

Presentations were made hv Bombay residents during the week to two familif* who are leaving the Bombay district. At tho Bombay vicarage farewell was taken of Mr. and Mrs. J). Mitchell and Miss Carter. Presentations oil behalf of residents was made by the vicar, the Rev. T. 11. Ileaslip. A large gathering at the Presbyterian Church took farewell of Mr. and Sirs. A. Maitland and family, who are moving to Mangatawhiri. Presentations were made to each member of tho family.

On tho occasion of tho retirement of Mr. Peter Scott, who lias been in tho railway service for 40 years, many of them spent on tho Rotorua line as guard, ho was the guest at a social evening at Rotorua. On behalf of tho staff. Mi'Cooper, the stationmaster, presented to Mr. Scott a gold watch and a wallet of notes, and to , Mrs. Cooper, a rosebouU Mr. Cooper referred to Mr. Scotts Ion.? and loyal service, and Mr. Scott suitably rqilied.
