BALLOT FOR SECTIONS.
THE AWANUI PROPERTY. INTEREST AT KAITAIA. [nY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] KAITAIA, Friday. Tho commissioner of Crown lands and officers and members of the Land Board arrived at Kaitaia yesterday and conducted a ballot for sections on the Awanui properly recently purchased by tho Government. Very keen interest was taken by tho applicants and tlif public and all the sections wore disposed of as follows:—No. 1, Mr. F. Carey, Palrnerston North; No. 2, Mr. T. S. McKoown, Kaitaia; No. 3, Mr. A. I). J. Sharp, Kaitaia; No. 4, Mr. J. Frew, Oruru; No. 5, Mr. E A. Hird, Awanui; No. 6, Mr. W. E. Jones, Mount Albert; No 7, Mr. A. D. L. Shaw, Portland.
