TRUSTWORTHY'S GOOD EFFORT, An interesting piece of work at Otahuhu on Thursday morning was provided by Rockburn (G. Paton), Trustworthy (S. August), Master Huia (T. Grimmond) and Keliance (Gilliard). Tho four stepped over | a mile and a-half on the clay. Master Huia jumped out Quickly and gained the advantage at the start. After five furlongs had been covered they were bunched together, with Trustworthy on the outer. In the run for home Trustworthy, going strongly, finished in front, with Reliance next and Master Huia following Windchat'e mission was a mile and a-half on the grass. For the first half she was not asked to give of her best, but oh© was moved along over the last mile which, in spito of two breaks, was completed in fair time for a maiden trotter. Tho Tartar, Whakahihi (G. Paton), Gold Sovereign (S. August) and Lucy Belle (E. Gront) were companions in a mile and a-half essay on the grass. The Tartar and Whakahihi hopped out quickly and soon had a decided advantage. Gold Sovereign wont to an early break, and Lucy Belle was not hurried. Tho Tartar and Whakahihi oxtcuted their tasks in a very satisfactory fashion, and their condition is a credit to their trainer. All Special (Gilliard) moved freely over several circuits on the clay. The A 1 Mack mare bears a very bright appearance and should not be long in striking form. ' Sebisca (G. Mitchell) was worked separately over a <listanco on tho grass. He gave a faultless display of trotting, and can be expected to run well at the meoting. Uolianco is now trained at Otahuhu by T. Gilliard. Hnl Chimes, in company with Stanmoor, pleased by the manner in which he got through a serviceable task. The maiden trotter Dexterity waß sent over a couple of laps. Lady Yvonne (Mitchell) and Groat Ballin (Robertson) were, companions in a sound piece of work 011 tho grass yesterday afternoon. They were allocated a mile and aquarter task, both pacing freely throughout.. It was a striking exhibition 011 tho part of Lady Yvonne and she should be one of the hardest to dispose of in the novico events at the relief meeting. WORTHY BOND'S TRANSFER. The trotting stallion Worthy Bond, who has been in tho Auckland district for several seasons, has been acquired by Mr. J, Gordon, of Christchurch. He will be shipped from Auckland to-morrow by the Waimarino for Lyttelton. ( TROTTING FIXTURE'S. August 30, September I—Auckland Trotting (Jlub (Unemployed Relief Meeting).
