COINERS' DARING RUSE.

While resisting arrest, a man who was suspected of being a member of a baud of coiners was shot and wounded by a police officer in Cologne. The man was conveyed to hospital. During the night three men entered the ward. They said that they were polico officers and had instructions to remove the patient to another medical station. The night sister consented, and the men carried tho patient to a waiting motorcar and' drove off. The next day it transpired that tho men had adopted the ruso to effect their comrade's escape.
