RECONSTRUCTION OF TOKIO.
A motion picture depicting tho story of the reconstruction of Tokio since tho great earthquake and fires of September 1, 1923, has been completed by tho Ministry of Home Affairs. One sot of films will bo presented to the Emperor and Empress. Four sets have been edited in tho English language. Of these, two are being sent to tho United States, and one to Europe. Although they have not yet been shown, there can bo no doubt but that they will astound the world if tho work has been well done. What Tokio and Yokohama have accomplished since their destruction six aftd a-half years ago is in no way short of marvellous. Only those who knew tho capital and its port city prior to tho earthquake can have any conception of tho tremendous progress which lias been made.
