MISS AMY JOHNSON.
NEW GIFT AEROPLANE. HYDE PARK CROWD CHEERS. • - LONDON. August 17. An enormous crowd of people in Hyde Park to-day witnessed tho presentation of the aeroplane Johnnie to Miss Amy Johnson, purchased with money subscribed by the public in recognition of her flight lo Australia. The Director of Civil Aviation, Sir Sefton Brancker, said he was proud to present tho machine. The public had been stirred to enthusiasm by the magnitude of Miss Johnson's enterprise. After the ceremony the girl flier climbed into the new machine and waved a hand to tho cheering crowd.
