NEW AUCKLAND CABARET.

OPENING ON THURSDAY. Incorporating many innovations which will make for the comfort and convenience of patrons, the Peter Pan Cabaret, which will he opened in Auckland on Thursday evening, will probably be one of the most luxuriously appointed cabarets in the Dominion. The cabaret, which occupies the whole of one tloor in Campbell's Buildings, Rutland Street, is practically ill the heart of. the city. One feature that is sure to find favour with patrons is that cars may be parked in the same building. The dancing floor has been specially constructed, and consists of chosen timber laid on rubber, which will ensure an even spring. The (loor contains 37' M square feet, and lias a raised orchestral platform in the centre. This will mean that there will always be a uniform volume of sound. The only two pillars in the dancing room arc at either cud of the platform, and allow of an unrestricted dancing area. An excellent orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr. Fred. Briggs, will supplv musiu. of a high standard. Great attention has been paid to the furnishings and lighting effects. iMeiy portion of the cabaret, with the except.on of the dance floor, is covered with hign quality carpet, and the curtains arc in harmony with the general colour scheme. The illumination is carried out by means of cleverly-concealed lights, hidden in recesses in the coiling and casting a soil .rlow Round the walls, as part or the colour scheme, there will ljo shaded lights and large standing lamps, and palms will give the cabaret the appearance of a bcautifullv-appointcd private room. A special ventilation system lias been installed. The main entrance to the cabaret wilt bo from Lorno Street. I' l'Qin hero patrons will enter the reception hall, in which figures of "Peter Pan" symbolise youth and merriment. The cabaret will be conducted by Entertainments (N.Z.), Limited, and the manager will be Mr. Norman Loveridge.
