northern union cup match REQUEST FROM NORTHLAND. ARRANGEMENTS FOR SATURDAY. A request from the Northern Ilugliy League for the use of Carlaw Park for the Northern Union Challenge Cup match against South Auckland was received the management, committee of the Auckland. Rugby League, which met last evenmi;. llr. CI. Rhodes presided. Air. R. Loblo said the request deserved consideration as the meeting of these two provinces would be an attraction likely to draw a good gate. Air. E. Slallworlhy suggested the gamo bo played in conjunction with club mutches, it was eventually decided to defer the matter for one '.I ho New Zealand League wrote asking that tho Auckland team to meet the Isew Zealand team on August 23 should be selected early.
