NOVA SCOTIA PREMIER.
RESIGNATION ANNOUNCED. POST IN DOMINION CABINET. OTTAWA, August U: The Premier of Nova Scotia, Air. E. N. Rhodes, has re-signed to accept the portfolio of Fisheries in the Dominion Government. The Minister 'of Public Works, Mr. Gordon Harrington, succeeds him as Premier. Mr. Edgar Nelson Rhodes was Conservative Premier of Nova Scotia in September, 1928. His party had 38 members and the Liberal Opposition 3. Two seats were vacant. He obtained a dissoluton, as the Legislative Council had been recently abolished, and at the general election in October the Conservatives won 23 seats and the Opposition 20.
