Y.W.C.A. MOTHERS' CLUB.

The Mothers' Club of the Y.W.C.A. entertained their speakers, artists and friends at a banquet held at the association buildings on Saturday evening. The tables were decorated with the colours of the club, blue, white and gold, and with bowls of irises, daffodils and Iceland poppies. Several toasts were honourod and enjoyable musical selections were played by the Grey Lynn Scout Orchestra. Cello solos were played by Miss Brown with Mr. C. Swales as her accompanist and Mr. Trevor Binns gave elocutionary items. No effort had been spared by the officers, members and committee of the club to make the evening a success and their efforts were aided by the artists who gave their services so freely.
