A depression c>f slight .intensity is centred over tho North Island. Indications are for winds mainly moderate and variable, with southerly -to westerly prevailing. Seas generally smooth to moderate. Moderate south-west to west wind and moderate seas in tho eastern Tasman Sea. Weather mainly fair in Westland and the interior of tlie South Island; elsewhere still cloudy and misty, with scattered vain. Temperatures moderate. RAINFALL RECORD.
