NEW STOCK ROUTE.
AUCKLAND TO WAIKATO. RELIEVING MAIN SOUTH ROAD. [BI TELEGRAPH. —OWN S CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Tuesday. A new stock routo is being constructed between Auckland and the Waikato in order to relievo tho traffic on the Main South Road. Tho new route runs from Hunua to Papakura. It passes through the Maungatawliiri Valley to Mangatangi and enters tho Waikato County at Kopuku. It then takes a lino to Ohmewai, whero it radiates from the Main South Road to various parts of the Waikato and Hauraki Plains.
Several hundred men are employed by the Public Works Department on the now road.
