MILFORD SOUND DISTRICT.

TWO LAKES DISCOVERED. [BT TELEGRAPH. —rRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Monday. A message from Okuru, 187 miles south of Hokitika, says Mr. Eric James and his party reached there to-day, en route for Wanaka, after nine weeks spent in exploration to the north of Milford Sound. A hitherto unexplored valley was followed to its source, and two lakes were discovered, one having a subterranean outlet. Numerous photographs and mineral specimens were obtained. The minerals will be analvsed.
