BROADCASTING RUGBY.

THE FOURTH TEST MATCH. AUCKLAND NOT TO RELAY. LOCAL GAME PREFERRED. No broadcast will be made from IYA on Saturday of tho fourth Rugby test match to be played between Britain and New Zealand at Wellington. Mr. L. 0. Barnes, director of tho station, stated yesterday that as a result of consultations between the New Zealand Rugby Union and the head office of the Broadcasting Company in Wellington, it had been decided that the Auckland station should broadcast the Auckland-Taranaki representative match, which will be hold at Eden Park on Saturday. The broadcast of the match in Wellington would bo left for the Wellington station, 2YA, and Auckland listeners who desired to hear that broadcast could listen-in to Wellington, which was a powerful station. Mr. H. Frost, chairman of the Auckland management committee of the Rugby Union, said that a great many Auckland and Taranaki people wished to hear a broadcast of the Auckland match, and as Wellington was broadcasting the testmatch it was agreed that Auckland should cover the local match.
