Tho New Zealand League footballers won a hard and exciting game against Southern Districts at Young to-day. Tho result was in doubt till tho final whistle. Tho half-time scores wero 15 to 12 in Southern Districts' favour, but at the end tho visitors had a lead of four points, the scores being:— Now Zealand 24 Southern Districts . . . . 20 The Now Zealand team comprised: Dufty, Wateno, Seagar, Pearce, Brisbane, Gregory, Abbott, Trautvetter, Stephenson, Clark, Grilliths. Timrns and Amos. Tho scorers for New Zealand were: Brisbane, Timms, Gregory and Amos, tries; Dufty, six goals.
