CHILDREN'S OPERETTA.
KNOX SUNBEAMS. There was a largo anil appreciative audienco at Knox Hall, Parnell, on Monday evening, when a children's operetta, called " The Fairy Chain," was played by the Knox Sunbeams, and produced by Mrs. G. W. Bagrio. The proceeds are in aid of the Sunday School Ilall improvement funds. Tlio acting was of an excellent character and tho stago presented a very attractive appearance, being festooned with Chinese lanterns, which made an attractive setting to tho talented little performers.
Tho children taking part were: Prince, Ina Bagrie; Princess, Dacia Bagrio; Og>-e, Eileen White; Sprite, Gwen Recce; Cupid, Patricia llebden; Fairy Queen, Joyce Jones; Fairy Violet, Nancy Moore; Fairy Snowdrop, June Hebden; Fairy Lily, Marjoi'io Thomas; Fairy Daisy, Lenora Scarborough; Fairy Holly, Joyce Smith; other Fairies, Mary Croy, Minnio Kendall and Jean Claney; Bluebells, Connio Cole; Moyna Rice, Hazel and Nancy Milligan. An enjoyable programme of instrumental, vocal and elocutionary items, preceded the operetta, tho following artistes contributing Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dawson, Madam Arnie Milburn, Miss Ida Holmes, Miss Rita MacCullay, Miss Maise Carte-Lloyd, -Miss Tyo, Mrs. Maxwell, Mr. F. B. Rumson, Mr. Charles Flanagan and Mr. Stan. Marshall. Tho accompanists wero Miss E. B. Paterson, Miss Peggy Doherty and Mr. Eric Maxwell.
