MISHAPS TO CYCLISTS.
YOUTH SEVERELY HURT. | COLLISION' WITH A VAN* Severe injuries to the head and a fiacture of the. arm wero suffered by Mabyn Nickalls, aged 19, of Glenfield Road, Birkenhead, as a result of his bicycle colliding with a. milk-van in Onewa Road, Birkenhead, at an early hour yesterday morning.' The youth, after receiving medical attention from Dr. R. G. Dudding, was conveyed by the North Shore ambulance to Devonport and thence to the Auckland Hospital. He was reported last evening to be making satisfactory progress. The radiator of the van was bent and the windscreen shattered. The bicycl# was slightly damaged. MOTOR-CYCLE AND CAE. RIDER S LEG FRACTURED. A fracture of the leg was received by Charles Fletcher, aged 19, of 93, Jervois Road, Ponsonby, when his motor-cycle collided with a motor-car near the intersection of Prospect Rise and Mount Eden Road yesterday afternoon. The youth was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. The front of the cycle was considerably damaged.
