REVENGE FOR EVICTION.
COTTAGE BADLY DAMAGED.

The tenant, of a cottage in tho Sydney suburb of Clovclly ' waSr evicted by liis landlord for uon-paymcnt of rent and his furniture was seized by bailiffs and sold at auction. A party of Communists, vowing vengeance upon the landlord, broko into tho cottage, smashed the fittings and tho windows, wrecked tho gas stove, bath and fence and chalked the walls. Hien they returned to tho Communist Hall. Plain-clothes policemen and detectives this evening raided the Communists' Headquarters and a fierce clash ensued. The police felled several men with batons and finally arrested 11 of them to the accompaniment, of jeers, bad language and threats. .
