NOTES FROM EVERYWHERE.

TRACK AND STABLE GOSSIP.

L. Dulieu will be riding at tho Poverty Bay Hunt meeting on Saturday, when his mounts will include Claremore, Highwayman and Purseful.

The rising three-year-old filly Cay Idea (by Ivilbroney—Dancing Doll) is back in J. Chisholm's Btable ut Ellerslie. She hns been spelling at Whangarei since racing in the autumn, and is in nice, healthy condition to go ahead with a preparation.

Auckland horsemen who will be riding at the Manawatu Winter Meeting this week include 11. Wiggins. 11. Dulieu, 11. Goldfinch and J. McHae. 11. Dulieu will only bo there for the first day. as ho has to be at Riccarton to ride Mangani at the Christchurch Hunt meeting on Saturday.

T. E. Davison's horses. Maori Boy and Lady's Boy, are again working usefully at Ellerslie. As a result of a sequence of failures, Lady's Boy is now well down in the weights and will only have to Btrike form to be a good prospect in the new season. As he has not performed as well as expected in the important jumping races ho has contested this winter, Odin is again to race among the hunters and is being qualified to compete in the Pakuranga Hunt Cup. Odin and his full-sister, Freyja, have executed some useful work lately.

Consistency has been a feature of tho late3t form of Town Major, who won tho Claromont Handicap at Timaru on Saturday. His last five starts huvo yielded four wins and a second, and, a3 lie is bred to stay, he should do well over middle distances next season if he retains his present form.

Tho Auckland horses Ma.ng.ani and Mountain Guide, who have been located at Trentham since the Wellington meeting, were taken 011 to Hiccarton on Friday night. They are to race at the Christchurch Hunt meeting next Saturday and also at the Canterbury Jockey Club's Grand National Meeting.

As a result of striking himself last week. King Emerald is nt present on tho easy list. It is unfortunate for W. Kemp that ho should have to rest King Emerald at this stage, for tho Nassau gelding was well forward and promised to bo a very fit horse for the Pakuranga Hunt meeting next month.

After being off the scene for some months. Red Lion i.-i being pottered about by J. Lambess preparatory to resuming regular work at Ellerslie. Up to tho present Red Lion has been a disappointment, but hopes arc entertained that he will do much better in future, as he has benefited considerably by his rest and is now looking a picturo.

PAKURANGA HUNT MEETING. PROGRAMME OF EIGHT RACES. The Pakuranga Hunt Meeting has issued an attractive programme of eight events for its annual race meeting, which is to bo held at Ellerslie on Saturday, August '2: i. Tho sum of £2300 will be distributed in stakes, and tho lowest stako is £2OO. Tho leading event is the Pakuranga Hunt Cup, of £T»SO and c.ip vi.lued at X',so, whiio other well-endowed races are tho Jcllicoo Handicap, of £l5O.
