THE ZOO.
Sir,—The loss of the sea lions and the penguin at the Zoo is owing to their having to livo in unfavourable surroundings. Their home is the sea and yet they aro oxpccted to thrive among tho animals of the forest. This is not natural and cannot succeed. Why not find a place for such animals and birds on the shore at Milford or Takapuna ? A suitable home could be built for them among the rocks where also tho polar bear cotild well be domiciled; ho loves tho soa. Either that, or not have thern at all. J. FRENCTI.
