EVANGELICAL MEETING.
jha Rev. Raymond Preston, the Engj'sli evangelist, addressed a. large gathering at tho Pitt Street Methodist Church last, evening. Mr. Preston is a much travelled lecturer and besides relating I'ianv interesting reminiscences ho spoke the life of Hie Church at tho present day. Re said that many modern parents were concerned more with the social distinction their children achieved than their spiritual well-being.
