UNEMPLOYMENT BILL.
PAYMENT OF THE LEVY. PROVISION FOR EXEMPTION. [H\ TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Monday. Questions have been raised as how men with no money will be able to pay tho Government's proposed unemployment tax, and how men who havo been out of work for some time will find the instalments. It is pointed out that the bill as proicnted to the House provides for tho issue cf an Order-in-Council exempting, on the grounds of public policy, any porsons specified from the payment, wholly or in part, of the levy. The measure, however, lias yet to be considered by a spocial Select Committee of the House, and no doubt before its return to the House these and allied points will be thoroughly analysed and reported upon.
