NEW TRANSPORT CHARGES.
ATTEMPT AT SETTLEMENT.

A conference is being field at tlio Huntly courthouse to-day between Mr. P. llally, Conciliation Commissioner, of Wellington, and the Renown Collieries' staff and employees with a view to settling the transport dispute caused through the new terms enforced by the contractors, Messrs. Bond and Son, for carrying the miners to Waikokowai. The mine is working to-day, pending the negotiations.
