ATTACKED IN PARK.
TWO MEN AND A GIRL.
FIGHT WITH DESPERATE MAN
Inspector Piggott, Miss Hilda Piggott, his daughter, and Mr. Albert Quicke, of Armadale, were attacked bv a man in Alma Gardens, Melbourne, on a recent evening. The man accosted Mr. Quicke, and demanded money. When refused, he struck Mi Quicke, and Inspector Piggott, who. with Miss Piggott, was also walking through the gardens, went to Mr. Quicke's assistance. The man, who was desperate, turned on Inspector Piggolt, and struck him violentlv about, the head and body. Inspector Piggott managed to handcuff one of the man's arms, but not before he bad viciously stiuck Miss Piggolt, who tried to assist her father. The man was overcome, and wnf charged with attempted robbery and assault.
