THEFT FROM HOUSE.
MONEY AND JEWELLERY.
RESIDENCE AT GREY LYNN
About £l'7 in money, and jewellery worth £lO, were stolen from a house in Firth Road, Grey Lynn, during the absence of the occupiers at the week-end. The money, which was in an envelope, and the jewellery were left on a dressing table in a front bedroom when the occupants left on Saturday afternoon to visitfriends at Devonport. On their return yesterday afternoon they discovered their loss. An open window at the back of the house showed how entrance had been gained.
Tho interior doors were all left open but nothing was disturbed in any room other than the bedroom. In the usual course of events tho occupier would have taken with him tho envelope containing the money, but in changing his clothes lie overlooked it. A quantity of clothing was disturbed but nothing further was stolen.
