UNITED CROQUET CLUB.
A most successful bridge afternoon was held in the John Court, Ltd., tearooms on Tuesday, about 20 tables of bridge being in use. The president, Mrs. Powley, wearing a frock of black georgette trimmed with blue, a black velour hat and black fox furs, welcomed the guests. The prizes for bridge were won by Mrs. Thornton and Mrs. Hardy, and the five hundred prize by Mrs. Henderson. Among those present wereMesdames Powley, Vausc Dixon.
