ASSESSMENT COURT.
VALUATIONS REDUCED,
MOUNT ROSKILL DISTRICT.
Ssveral largo reductions in tho valuations of properties in tho Mount Roskill road district were made by tho Assessment Court yesterday. Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., presided, Mr. E. Allen was tho Valuation Department's assessor and Mr. T. Mclndoe was the Mount Roskill Road Board's assessor.
Tho most important objection heard was that concerning the Winstono Estate, through which Dominion Road runs. After hearing evidence concerning the cost of the roading works carried out and tho proportion of unsold property, tho Court agreed to considerable reductions. In a largo proportion of tho cases, however, the .previous valuations were sustained.
