AN AUSTRALIAN CHARGED.
REMAND OF THE ACCUSED
Described as an Australian, Charles Edward I'radman, alias Jackson, appeared in the Police Court yesterday morning on three charges of false pretences. It was stated by the police that other charges
were pending
Bradniau was charged with obtaining from .John Uoyd at Wnangarei on July 10 goods to the value of £3O by falsely representing that he had an account with the Commercial Bank in Christchcurch. J.le was further charged that at Cambridge on June 13 he obtained from Charles Andrew goods to the value of £l3 by falsely representing that lie was the son of an Auckland doctor and that he had purchased the Masonic Hotel at Cambridge, The third charge was of obtaining board and lodging to the value of £l4 from John Rieliy by means of fraud.
On the application of Chief-Detective Hammond Biadman was remanded until August 1.
