Before completing a scheme for (lie laying down of Green Lane West in concrete or bitumen, the One Tree Hill Borough" Council has approached tho Transport Board to learn whether it is intended to use that road as a tram route, In a letter to the board yesterday the Borough Council staled that in view of tho possibility of tramway extensions being undertaken to connect Manukau Road with the Great South Road through Green Lane West it was desirable that the Transport Board's intentions should lie known beforo any scheme for permanent road improvements was gone on with. Tho letter was referred to the hoard-in-committoe for consideration.
