MISS JENNIE STREET.

NEW ZEALAND IMPRESSIONS.

Miss Jennie Street, who recently lectured throughout New Zealand on behalf of the British Sunday Schools and Christian Endeavours, has arrived in London, and in a letter received here by New Zealand Endeavour officials she indicates her sincere liking for this country. She writes: "I turn to you in rcmem brance and eagerness many times a day. The New Zealand honey on the tearoom table, the paragraph about New Zealand customs in the newspaper, the pictures of New Zealand in the magazines, all catch my eyes as they never did before I knew

"At our British Christian Endeavour Convention meetings I have seen the Rev J. E. Parsons, now of Palmerston North, who gave cheering news of Christian Endeavour. Then Mr. A. A. Creamer gavo a lively account of New Zealand in the historic Doddridge Chapel. Also I have heard of the Rev. A. R. M. Jensen, lately in an Auckland pastorate, who seems to havo made a very good impression. "At the convention the New Zealand flag and tho Auckland banner were specially displayed with others, and the New Zealand flag was carried in the procession of witness. Thinking back to tho similar Auckland procession, it compared most favourably. I find myself praising New Zealand very often and telling many stories of New Zealand Christian Endeavour." Miss Street pays a tribute to Miss Ethel Wilkie, now of Christ church, for upholding Christian Endeavour in Now Zealand in tho lean years and practically saving it from extinction. She also mentions that tho new British Christian Endeavour president is tho Rev. I'. J. Miles, D.5.0., who for years was a Baptist minister in Western Australia, and went from a Melbourne pastorate as a chaplain to the war. Out of the 303 new societies formed in Great Britain for the past year the Methodists woro leading denominationally. The great Christian Endeavour jubilee meetings take place in London next year, at which the Rev. Lionel Fletcher, who recently left New Zealand for a year s travel, will be one of tho chief representatives.
