APPEAL FOR UNITY.
GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S HOPE. ALL PHASES OF COMMUNITY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN correspondent.] WELLINGTON, Sunday. An appeal for unity was mado by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, at an Orphans' Club gathering last evening. He urged that .politicians and others should seek points of contact instead of points of difference. " I do not only refer to politics," said Lord Bledisloe. " I venturo to hope, without being regarded as an idealist, that the time may come, and not be long in coming, when in politics, industrial reform, social reform und religion, there might be a more accordant and close relationship than there has been in the past."
