ATHENIAN CLUB.

EVENING FOR CHARITY. The members of the Athenian Club held an enjoyable gathering in the Amateur Operatic Society's Hall, Grafton Road, on Saturday, which took the form of a charity evening. Air. and Airs. V. 11. Trask were host and hostess, Airs. 'J task wearing a frock of gold laiuo with sunset shadings. A motor car drive, had been previously organised by Mrs. F. 0. O'Connor and a card evening by Mrs. \\. \Y. AY right-. The money thus obtained, together with the proceeds from Saturday's entertainment, resulted in the sum of over £BO being' handed to Sister Esther and the Rev.° Jasper Calder, both of whom were, present. Air. Calder, on behalf of Sister Esther and himself, cordially thanked tho members of tho club for their assistance toward charity, which they had given for three successive years.
