RELIGIOUS EDUCATION.

WEEK-END CONFERENCE. A week end conference organised bv th» Presbyterian Sunday School Teachers' Association took place on Saturday and yesterday at Blockhouse Bay, and was attendee; by about 40 teachers and superintendents. A wide variety of practical subjects was dealt with, and special problems of different age-groups were studied in sectional classes. Among the speakers were: Mr. E. T. O. Downard, the lle.v. 1.. R. Busfield, Mr. and Mrs. .A. M. Ohisholm,. Miss W. French. Mr. C. French, Miss E. : Whit claw and Miss M. Clayton. The significance of piny m developing (be life of the child was dealt with by Mrs. Chisholm, and Mr. Busfield spoke of the principles and practice of religions education. Demonstrations with classes of beginners, primary and junior children were given by expert leaders yesterday afternoon, and (he closing service was conducted by Mr. C. trench.' Mrs. W. McDonald, as camp-mother, supervised the general arrangements and conduct of the conference.
