Mr. C. Gostelow h;is been appointed actuary for tho examination of the public service superannuation fund for the period ending March 31, 1931.
The Thief Justice, Sir Michael Mvets, will arrive in Auckland from Wellington this morning. He will preside in the Supreme Court next week.

Carter who. for the past few years has been mail agent on the Vancouver steamer servi< e. has been promoted to supervisor of the registration branch at the General Post Office, Wellington. Mr. A. Mcßory, supervisor at the Frankton Junction Railway Post Office, will succeed Mr. Carter.
