ABOUT THE FEET.
Corns are caused either by tight shoes or loose shoes. Tight shoes cause pressure, loose shoes cause friction due to the constant gliding of the foot back and forth in tho shoo. Nature intended your feet to serve two vital functions-first, that of support or the purpose of sustaining tho bodyweight, and second, locomotion to transport us from place to place. Tho primary causo of weak foot or flat foot, is nn incorrect attitude in standing or walking—i.e., with the toes turned outwards. Injudicious trimming of the nails—cutting them round instead oi straight across, tends to encourage tho growth of in-grown toe nu ils.
Your feet are as important as your eyes and your teeth, in fact, as vital as any organ in your body. And inasmuch as feet differ, no two being alike, they should, therefore, bo subject to periodical examination, before wearing an appliance. Many people do not know that they need arches until they have nearly ruined their feet. Your dentist can replace decayed teeth, but no one can replace bad feet.
