SAVE THE HANDS.

A largo glove, made of thick, dark material, preferably black or navy velvet, will) one compartment for the fingers and one for the thumb, should be kept near or just inside the coal scuttle. It' may easily be slipped on, and saves soiling the hands, and frequent washing after handling the poker, tongs, and coal shovel. The glove is specially welcome when light needlework is in progress.
