WINDOW DRESSING—IN SCARLET!
It is so difficult to get a touch of originality and gaiety in the curtaining of a small window. That is, if you don't think of gingham. As the window-frame can tie painted black, scarlet and white, check gingham against this background looks most attractive. To complete the scheme a pot of scarlet geraniums is a necessity— and so cheerful. If you're very ingenious, you can repeat the red and white che"k of the curtains in t ie standard lampshade with good effect.
