TO BRIGHTEN THE EYES.
The few minutes spent, in waiting for a 'phone call can be used tor refreshing and brightening the eyes. Close the eyes gently, placing the hand lightly over them, without pressing on the eyeball. Even a couple of seconds will rest the eyes, relievo strain, and make them lcel fresher and brighter. If your hands are not. as pretty and graceful as you might wish, try what practising imaginary " five-linger" exercises, whenever you have two or three odd minutes, will do to improve them. Practise your exercises on your knee, a table, or the back of a chair. It will mako tho fingers supple and prevent wrinkled and enlarged knuckles.
