The typical fishhook of the fcanta Barbara roast tribes is made in a single piece fioin (ho shell of either the black or red •ibilone \ composite fishhook made ot 'two shaped pieces of l one, held together bv nsnhaltum and binding, is also found in the California cultures. I lie fishhook itself is about an inch and a-half m length by three-quarters of an inch at its widest point.
