DOGS' BATH CLUB.

SOME LUXURY DIPS. A dogs' bath club, where owners may drink cocktails and exchange doggy yarns while their pets are being washed, has just, been opened at Chelsea, England. The club is fully licensed. the walls of Ihe lounge are painted, frieze fashion, to represent svlvan scenes, iu which appeal' famous British dogs. Here are tu be lound portraits of tho Prince of Wales' Cairns, the Duke of Gloucester's terrier. Lady Plunkett's Pekingese, and a dozen others of repute, including King Edward's famous Caesar. It, is all very jolly for the doglover, of course, but so different from the other quarters where tho real business of the club is carried on. Half a dozen girls in uniform waterproof overalls are in attendance daily. Tubs, bowls, and differentsized " human " baths, supplied with hot and cold showers, are in use; while on kennel shelves, customers gloomily await their turn. In one of the big baths stood an abject Airedale, covered in soapsuds. A few feet away, in a miniature bath, complete with baby-taps, there fidgeted a resentful Yorkshire terrier about the size of a, kitten. He was having special treatment —a particular soap, delicate towelling, combing, scenting, and gowdering.
