BRILLIANT WEDDINGS.

EAGER "GATE CRASHERS." WOMEN PUSH PAST POLICE. The wedding-goers, those eager matrons and girls who rush to attend fashionable weddings in London, bad a wonderful time on June 2. One of the eight notable marriages of the day was at St. Margaret's, Westminster, where more than 1,000 excited girls and women crowded to get ope thrilling glimpse of Miss Margaret Darell as she entered with her 17 bridesmaids and four small pages. Her bridegroom was Mr. Helmut W. B. von Schroder, tho heir of Baron von Schroder, the banker, and Baroness von Schroder. The women broke through tho police cordon and slipped under the noses of the mounted police horses, peeping at Miss Darell's long, graceful gown. Her glittering retinue stretched halfway down the aisle. In spite of precautions gate-crashers got into the church, with the result that a number of the 1,300 guests were unable to obtain seats. An official said the congregation was the largest he had ever seen at a wedding at St. Margaret's. Several women were overcome by the heat and had to be helped out. As soon as Miss Darell had disappeared into the church many women hurried to watch another bride, Mis.. Isolde Grosvenor, who was married to Mr. William James West at the Guards' Chapel. Wellington Barracks. No less charming was the wedding of Miss Moira Magee and Mr. Hubert Howard, son of the Countess of Clanwillam, at Holy Trinity, Sloane Street. Several women made determined efforts to enter tho church, but were restrained. A guard of honour of Life Guards added to the colour and romance of the wedding of the Hon. Diana Allscpp, eldest daughter of Lord Hindlip, and Mr. Rupert Hardy at. St. George's, Hanover Square.
