WOMEN'S UNITED PARTY.
Mrs. Yon Stumor presided at a meeting ot the Women's League of the Auckland United Party, held in tho party's rooms this week. A remit concerning old ago pensions was brought forward for discussion by (he Mount .Eden division, and as a result a deputation from all divisions waited upon llic Hon. J. B. Donald, who promised to do his best to improve tho conditions of the Act as pointed out by the deputation. The Parnell division reported upon women polico and other matters affecting tho welfare of women and children. _ A discussion on the method of choosing candidates for political . life also took place. Mrs. Goughlan, convener of the social committee, reported that matters were well advanced for the dance and social evening to be held shortly.
