OBITUARY.
MRS. JANE JOHNSTON. Tho death of Mrs. Jane Johnston, widow of the late Mr. Alexander Johnston, occurred on Monday at Patorangi. She was born at Porirun in 1852. In 1900 Mr. and Mrs. Johnston removed from Wairnrapa to Waikato with their fanulv, and after living at Ohanpo and Cambridge, eventually settled at Paterangi 10 years ago. Mr. Johnston died three years ago at the age of 94. She is survived by five daughters and three sons. There are 27 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Mrs. Hatchings, who was 64 years of age. \v;in predeceased by lier husband 20 vears ago. Four daughters are left, with a number of grandchildren.
