OFFENCE BY MAORI.

TERM OF PROBATION. A charge of stealing a horse, saddle and bridle, valued at £4, at Morrinsvillo about March 17, was admitted by Whana Whana Teriaki, aged 34, labourer, in the Police Court yesterday. Mr. Noble appeared on behalf of accused. The charge was later reduced to one of stealing the saddle and I riffle.
