The Government has approved tho appointment as British members of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at the Haguo. of ' Lord Sankcy and Professor Pearce Higgins. Tho appointments aro for a period of six years. Lord Sankey is Lord Chancellor. Dr. Higgins is professor of international law at Cambridge University. ,
