Yorkshire v. Somcrsot.—Yorkshire: First innings: 185 (Young six for 64); second innings, one for 318, declared (Holmes 102, Mitchell 130 not out). Somerset: First inning 3, 43 (Bowes four for 27); second innings, 133 (Bowes five for 40). Yorkshire won by 328 runs. Derbyshire v. Leicestershire. —Derbyshire: First innings, nino for 383, declared (Jackson 94, Townsend 96); second innings, five for 143. Leicestershire: First innings, 381 (Berry 110). In the final match for the polo championship cup, Hurricanes defeated Goulburri, Australia, by nino goals to seven. The critic of the Observer says the polo honours undoubtedly go to the losers, who would have been entitled to start with seven goals if the match had been played i undor handicap. They put up a great fight in running Britain's strongest side so close, in tho most important match of the season. King Alfonso of Spain presented the cup to tho winners. BOXING MATCH IN SYDNEY.
