THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE. BUSINESS VERY QUIET. Only lhrc'3 sales were recorded at the single call on tho Auckland Stock Exchange, on Saturday. Offers for several Government stocks eased, but 1933 per cent, War Bonds were tho only loans quoted by sellers, who advanced their price 5s to £99 15s. Movements were irregular in banks. Australians of Commerce, Commercials of Australia, and English, Scottish and Australians were sought at easier levels. Inquiry for New South Wales was firm at £3B ss, but New Zealands wero accorded less favourable support with offers Is lower at 575. In insurance Now Zealands changed hands unaltered at 475, which prico was offered for more. In loan and agency Dominion Investment and Bankings commanded higher bids and wero done nt the current-price of 20s. Goldsbrough-Morts wee in firmer demand at 29s 3d, without any supplies coming forward. Other sections of the market were quiet and movements wero of little importance. In mining buying strength increased for Waihis and tho shares were released at 14s 3d, an advance of 6d. The samo prico was offered for more, which were available at 14s sd.
