YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather was fine, except for a few showers, and cold yesterday. The wind was light. The barometer was rising. Wellington.—The southerly storm which came up suddenly on Wednesday evening was short-lived. Yesterday morning the sun again shone brightly after a frost. The wind was very keen from the northwest. The night was fine but cold. Chrislchnrch.—The day was fine and calm, following 13 degrees of frost. The maximum temperature was 47 degrees. The barometer was falling slowly, hut later had a rising tendency, the reading last evening being 30.00 in. Duiifcdin.—-The weather was fine but overcast, with brief periods of sunshine yesterday, and conditions were very cold. The wind was strong from the south west and the maximum temperature was 41 degrees. The barometer was rising, the reading in the evening being 29.95 in. ,
