BOWLING.
THE AUCKLAND CLUB. The report of the Auckland Bowling- Club, to be presented at the annual meeting 1 this evening, stales the past season, the sixtyeighth rear of the cab's activities, had been one of marked progress. The club was represented at all the> principal tournaments of the centre as well as those held at Rota run. Tauranga, Matamata and Cambridge, with considerable success. In the pennant competition the club, with 14 rinks. iron section B. and was defeated in the play-off by Helensriile by sis points. The various club competitions resulted aa fallows:—Club cup and championship, EL E. Allan; junior championship cup, J. M. Williams; champion pairs. H. E. Allan and C. Muston; club fours, P. L. Annitage, W. J. JaSrey, J. E. Dicketts, p. Moir; club pairs (handicap). E Newefigin and J. H. Bart.cr: diamond jubilee cup (handicap singles), P. J. Scantlebury; Anzac Cup (handicap singles). J. M. Williams; veterans' match (handicap singles), H. P. Wyntt; consolation match (handicap singles), S. Dudley. For the Srit time in the history of the clab xinter play had been indulged in. The committee -ecords with regret tie death of two highly esteemed members, Messrs. N. E. Burton and T. E. Pearßcm. The membership totals 219. including 15(3 pinying and two iiie members. The financial statement discloses a surplus for the year of £S4 3s 4-cL
