Gowing, supervisor of the registration branch, General Post Office, Wellington, will retire on superannuation on Monday, having completed 40 years' service with the Post and Telegraph Department. Mr. and Mrs. P. G. B. Davies, of Fremantle, Western Australia, who have been making an tour of England and the Continent, arrived in Auckland last evening by the Port Fremantle.
